Hey Glo Girls & Happy New Year!
I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season and you're feeling refreshed! I'm super excited about all the wonderful opportunities this year may bring so let's jump right into it!
This year I want everyone to truly embrace every experience and maximize each moment! One way I believe we can do this is by abandoning every fear we have become comfortable with.
Fear is defined as a verb "to be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening". Fear is an action word which means when we put fear into action we stop another action word.. FAITH. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 1:1). The two cannot reside in the same place!
Transparency Moment: I have always wanted to establish My Sisters Glo and really speak out to women based off of my own journey and be a pillar of hope for other women.. I put off MSG for YEARS!! All because I was afraid of what would happen if I tried. Recently I decided to break up with fear! I prayed and I asked God to lead me but I was no longer operating in fear! At this point I rather sink knowing I tried than to float because I was afraid to try. God is with me so I do not fear the future! Romans 8:31 states "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,who can be against us". That verse alone comforts me in knowing that if my Father is with me then who care what anyone else gotta say?
So I wanna challenge you to do this... ABANDON fear! Acknowledge at least one area in your life and admit to yourself and God what you're fearful of and why. Once you acknowledge the fear you can never again be unaware of that fear and you must confront it!
I want yal to do a little homework for me.. write down the following for yourself and let's attack fear together..
1. Find the Fear...
2. Why is it a Fear...
3. How is Fear benefiting you?
4. Vow to Breakup with Fear to Marry Faith
5. Continuously Speak life over those areas where fear will try to reside..
These 5 simple steps worked for me and I hope they work for you! If you have some feedback or want to share with others how you combat fear tactics please feel free to comment in the comment section.
